Sarah Greenfield is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department. She focuses her practice on complex business litigation and investigations, including internal investigations, enforcement actions, and securities class actions. Ms. Greenfield represents public companies, directors and officers in securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, mergers and acquisitions litigation, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) investigations, and other high-stakes matters. She has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including federal jury trial experience, briefing and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions, managing large-scale discovery, working with experts and jury consultants, coordinating with parallel government investigations, and negotiating favorable settlements in mediation. She also has experience conducting internal investigations of companies regarding their financial reporting, disclosures and internal control procedures.
