A Conversation on Ending Commercial Sexual Exploitation in Our Midst

Drinker Biddle’s Women’s Leadership Committee, in partnership with the Women’s Bar Association of D.C.’s Non-Profit Organizations Practice Forum, will host a panel presentation featuring legal and human rights professionals who are working to end the commercial sexual exploitation of women and children. The presentation will take place on November 14 in Drinker Biddle’s Washington, D.C., office.

The panelists will discuss the current state of domestic sex trafficking, policy-based and social support necessary to end commercial sex trafficking, and the preventative and rehabilitative work that is currently underway locally. Shea Rhodes, Esq., Director and Co-founder of the Villanova Law Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation, will moderate the discussion. Panel speakers will include:

  • Yvette Butler, Director of Policy and Strategic Partnerships, Amara Legal
  • Tina Frundt, Founder and Executive Director, Courtney’s House
  • Maheen Kaleem, Staff Attorney, Rights4Girls
  • Christine Raino, Senior Director of Public Policy, Shared Hope International
