WBA is teaming up with A Wider Circle to conduct a beautification project at Johnson Middle School in Southeast DC. The WBA will also collect donations for A Wider Circle’s Well Mother, Well Baby and Neighbor to Neighbor programs. This event kick offs a long-term partnership between the WBA and A Wider Circle.

Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
WBA volunteers will meet at 9:45 am at Koonz, McKenney, Johnson, DePaolis & Lightfoot, L.L.P., James Monroe Building, 2001 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW at the corner of I Street and 20th Street and carpool/Metro to the project location. To sign up, contact the WBA at admin@wbadc.org. If you would like to volunteer but do not have transportation, include your address and whether you are close to Metro.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring with them a healthy non-perishable item, a self-care item, or new cleaning supplies to benefit vulnerable residents in A Wider Circle’s programs. Click here for a list of healthy foods and snacks to bring, A Wider Circle distributes these snacks to the students throughout the week. For a list of items most needed by A Wider Circle, visit their Wish List. If you have furniture you would like to donate, please email the WBA to arrange for a pick up.
